Our students took to DC to learn about and advocate for substance use prevention!

On Capitol Hill Day they spent the morning learning about legislation and the federal funding that supports prevention work. They reported being inspired by our legislative champions in Congress. Then they headed to Capitol Hill and knocked on Representative Stephen Lynch’s office door, where our students told one of his aides about the prevention work we are doing and how his office can support it. Our students were part of a group from across MA who carried the same message to one of Senator Elizabeth Warren’s aides and Senator Ed Markey himself!

We are super proud of these students and the energy they are putting into learning and advocating on behalf of Easton Wings of Hope. We are grateful we have the opportunity to learn, grow, and advocate and can’t wait to see the work they continue to do.
